Privacy Policy

This privacy policy has two jobs: to state exactly what the site does with information today, and to set out the standard practices that would apply if it is launched as a full live service.

Where the two differ, the section says which one it is describing. The policy is template content and has not been reviewed by a lawyer; see the note at the top of the page.

• Quote requests. When you complete the quote form, the details you enter (route, vehicle, dates, name, email, and phone) are kept in your own browser's local storage and written to your browser's developer console. They are not transmitted to us, to car shipping companies, or to anyone else, and no quote is produced.
• Contact form and newsletter signup. These forms are interface only and not connected to any backend. What you type is not sent, stored, or logged.
• Accounts. There are no user accounts, sign-in, or payments.
• Tracking. The site does not run advertising cookies or third-party analytics. Like any website, the server that hosts it may keep standard technical logs, such as requests and IP addresses, for security and operation.

You can remove the quote details held in your browser at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Information you provide

• Quote request details: origin and destination, vehicle make and type, transport preferences, dates.
• Contact details: name, email address, and phone number.
• Messages you send us, and reviews you submit.

Information collected automatically

• Device and browser type, pages viewed, and referring pages.
• IP address and approximate location derived from it.
• Cookies and similar technologies, described below.

Information from other sources

Public records, such as the FMCSA's registration and safety data about carriers and brokers. These describe businesses rather than consumers.

• To provide the features you ask for, such as passing a quote request to the companies you choose.
• To respond to your questions and reports.
• To moderate reviews and detect fraud or abuse, as described in our review policy.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it.
• To meet legal obligations.

In a live service, information could be shared with:

• Companies you ask to contact you. A quote request is passed on only when you submit it, and only the details needed to quote.
• Service providers who help us run the site, under obligations to protect the data.
• Authorities, when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
• A successor, if the business is sold or reorganized.

Because a live quote service could involve paid referrals, this section would be updated before launch to describe the actual arrangements, including any that count as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under state privacy laws, and to give you a way to opt out. See the advertiser disclosure for how the site may earn money.

The site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. If a live service adds cookies, this section would list their purposes, separate essential ones from optional ones, and offer controls for the optional ones. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, such as asking to see it, correct it, delete it, or opt out of certain uses or sharing. In a live service we would honor those requests as the law requires and would not penalize you for making them.

You can ask a question about this policy through our contact page. The contact form is not connected to an inbox yet, so a request sent there would not be received.

In a live service we would keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and would use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Today, quote details stay in your browser and you control how long they remain.

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will work to remove it.

We may update this policy, in particular when the site adds live features such as connected quote and contact forms. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Material changes would be announced on the site.
